The Cybersecurity Operations Center actively monitors the cybersecurity posture of the university and responds to incidents and threats as they are identified. We strive to be both proactive in detecting problems before they become a major threat, and responsive to mitigate malicious activity that is occurring before it significantly impacts university resources.

Software Development and Assurance helps developers prepare code with a security posture in mind. We help development teams associated with the University of Illinois fulfill their responsibility to comply with Illinois cybersecurity standards.

Cybersecurity Training and Awareness provides training and guidance to the university community on how to protect against cybersecurity threats. Cyber criminals are constantly changing their tactics. Regular cybersecurity training helps you stay safer as cyber threats evolve.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance measures and reports on digital risk, which refers to all of the potential impacts upon the university that arise as a result of using technology to accomplish its teaching and research mission.
