Canvas at Illinois

Canvas at Illinois is the university-supported Learning Management System (LMS). View the resources to help build a course in Canvas.

Request classroom tech training

Schedule a 30 minute, one-on-one session to familiarize you with the technology in your classroom.

Classroom software list

View the classroom software list. If you need a specific software title, you can request to have it installed on the classroom PC. Technology Services requires a 10-day notice and a licensed copy of the software or the URL for free software.

Special event support form

If you are hosting a special event in a classroom, you can request technology support during normal business hours.


This is the best option for high quality audio and video if you do NOT need remote students to participate synchronously.


Wirelessly present

Use Kramer VIA to wirelessly present in a classroom. Use a wired connection (HDMI or VGA) when streaming video to the projector.

Audio bridge for live streaming

This is the best option for instructors who need remote students to participate synchronously.

Equipment checkout

The Undergraduate Library Media Commons has equipment available for instructors to check out for the semester including USB microphones, USB cameras, and portable document cameras.
