Technology Services provides campuswide technology solutions that support the teaching, learning and research missions of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We partner with other departmental IT staff to serve nearly 70,000 faculty, staff and students.

- Digital Accessibility Specialist or Senior Digital Accessibility Specialist
 
The Digital Accessibility Specialist or Senior provides expert support, guidance, and consultation to university units on the acquisition, development, and implementation of digital information and services to ensure access for people with disabilities. This role includes conducting comprehensive accessibility evaluations for software applications under consideration for purchase and deployment, ensuring compliance with the university’s Digital Accessibility Policy; providing recommendations on how to make software technology, web content, and IT services inclusive and accessible; and collaborating on committees to advance accessibility best practices.
The Digital Accessibility Specialist or Senior applies knowledge of how people with disabilities access technology, performs accessibility audits at multiple levels, promotes best practices for creating inclusive digital products and services, and assists with remediation efforts to ensure that digital experiences are accessible to and usable by all participants in the university’s programs, services, and activities. Hybrid work options may be available for this position, with the ability to be on-site at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus as needed per the University’s Workplace Flexibility policy. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.

- Digital Content Accessibility Specialist or Senior Digital Content Accessibility Specialist
 
The Digital Content Accessibility Specialist or Senior Digital Content Accessibility Specialist supports the Digital Accessibility Program (DAP) by assisting with the creation, remediation, and evaluation of electronic documents and multimedia to ensure compliance with accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1, ADA Title II, and the Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA). This role provides consultation, training, and hands-on remediation services to faculty, staff, and departments to help make instructional materials, departmental communications, and public-facing content accessible. This role requires familiarity with accessibility evaluation tools and assistive technologies, as well as the ability to explain accessibility practices clearly to a wide range of campus stakeholders. Fully remote work may be possible for this position per the University’s Workplace Flexibility policy. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.

Provides campuswide communication tools, teaching and learning technology, web hosting, quality assurance and software development.
Infrastructure Services
Provides campus networking, virtual hosting, structured database storage and administration and installation and maintenance for managing data and voice services between campus buildings.
Privacy and Cybersecurity
Dedicated to helping reduce risk, and protect people, devices and information at the University of Illinois.
Innovation and Technology Strategy
Provides IT access and support for advanced computing resources for the University of Illinois research community.
Service Delivery
Provides the entry point into Technology Services, including direct support for the everyday technology needs of the campus community.
